Spectrum on Forge via Sinytra Connector
We made a lot of changes behind the scenes to make Spectrum run on Forge via Sinytra Connector! Many thanks to eehunter who single-handedly made all the necessary changes.
Guidebook Rework
KatTheFox gave the entire guide a good read, making small but effective changes to the wording of almost every single entry. Noaaan also made some great suggestions. Thanks to both of you!
Improvements
- Added a recipe to turn Jade Petal Blocks back into Jade Petals (done by UmbralSurvivor!)
- The Color Picker will now convert Pigment Blocks to Ink (done by Maya!)
- The Titration Barrel tooltips will now round down the time passed, to prevent accidental opening of not-quite-yet-finished brews (done by Maya!)
- The Warden can not be turned into a Memory anymore (done by Maya!)
- Pure Netherite is now immune to fire damage
- Changed the sounds of Decay to match the blocks they were created from (suggested by I'm cool)

- All Crystallarieum Recipes now require a Catalyst by default. Both to make it easier to understand and lower accidental high Ink consumtion when reagents ran out
- Unlock all ink storage items only when the basic ink storage is unlocked (800020h)
- The Pipe Bomb guidebook entry now mentions that it does not break blocks (suggested by Quarx)
- Added a Recipe for Dragon's Breath (suggested by Aeon)
- The Experience Bottle recipe now only unlocks when having the Knowledge Gem unlocked, too

- Added a potion reagent for Malachite. Rebalanced several lategame ones
- The Pigment Palette's tooltip now states that it only works for players, not in other ink-consuming blocks
- The "Collect Bismuth" advancements will now unlock when collecting any type of bismuth. Previously it required Bismuth Buds.

Let me tell you a story.
Young me started playing Minecraft back in Alpha. Back then, I was fascinated by the Bedrock. An impenetrable passage. Immovable. Indestructible. What lay beneath it always took my young imagination on exciting journeys.
Today, Minecraft is a much more mature game - and so are we. As players, we have studied and documented the entire game inside and out, and we are no longer fascinated by rumours of a glowstone portal lit by water. What remains of the original magic are wiki articles and YouTube guides. Minecraft is an open book, we thoroughly optimized every action we take in the game, especially here in the modding community. There are no more surprises.
The reason for creating Spectrum was to recapture some of that original magic. And countless players have expressed that they feel that spark again, that it feels like rediscovering the game. Not knowing what to do next, not knowing exactly what to do - until you do. Embarking on a new journey.
Today, almost exactly a year after the last release of Spectrum, we have such a new journey for you. So, do tell me... what DOES lie beneath that impenetrable Bedrock floor?

The Monstrosity
While its AI has been improved in this alpha, we still feel like its mechanics still need improvement and therefore will be postponed. For the time being, new Monstrosities will not spawn. Unlocks based on killing the Monstrosity have been moved.
The Block Breaker
A simple, single block Block Breaker, powered via redstone. It simulates the breaking of the block in front of it using an iron-level pickaxe. As long as the player that placed it, is online, it will process drops of the owner based on their revelations
Kindlings
Added textures for Kindlings being angry, plucked and blinking. They now render saddled, if you put one on them. They finally received their final animations and unique, quirky sounds (made by Quarx!). Kindling Feathers now have to be gotten by using Shears, instead of plucking them by hand, to not interfere with the 'open gui' interactions.
More textures
- Finished textures for Hummingstone and Hummingstone Glass. Added Clear Hummingstone Glass, which is almost transparent
- Revised the textures for Block Detector and Block Placer
- But wait, there is more: Lizard Head, Potion Workshop, Downstone Fragments, the DD portal, Dragonrot, the Perfect Compound and the Mysterious Locket
- Revised Block Breaker and Block Detector. Made them rotatable in more directions and tweaked their recipes to match the new textures

Lurking Lizards
They now have their final model! They come in various colors and with various frill and horn shapes. Children inherit the frills and horns of their parents.

Underground Cities
The Underground Cities have gotten a big expansion. @800020h invested a lot of effort creating interesting and unique structures. You can now find various new pieces in the cities, including a new rare and highly protected one.
Unique Present Unwrap Interactions
Presents have gotten a rework. Unwrapping some items now plays special effects... positive as well as... surprising ones. Some fun examples:
- Unwrapping a Firework will immediately shoot that firework
- Unwrapping a Memory will immediately manifest it
Finished Erasers & Eraser Nerf
- Erasers have gotten their final model & animations
- Made Erasers exclusive to black langast & dragonrot swamp
- Nerfed Rraser view range and potion effect potencies
- Added Eraser head & spawn egg
- Added Eraser guidebook entry
- Added Bucket of Eraser
Modular Explosives
Added both a mine type explosive (Threat Conflux), as wenn as a thowable &/ wall-mountable one (Parametric Mining Device). They are modular in the way that you can enhance their explosions with various modifiers - kind of like potion reagents.
Primordial Fire Improvements
made primordial fire hurt, improved the rendering & added damage type & death message primordial fire renders entities on primordial fire. Added fluid interaction
New Mermaid's Brush textures & lots of other missing ones
Mermaids Brushes & their Gems have gotten a new look. Do you like them? Let's hear some feedback! Personally, I adore the Staff of Remembrance's texture. <3
Potion Workshop Recipe / Reagent Rework
The guidebook / recipe viewer entries were always pretty vague. Plus, there has been some confusion about how multiplicative bonuses work previously. The explanations have been completely redone, stating exact values what each reagent does.

Shapeless Pedestal Recipes
- Added Shapeless Pedestal Recipe type. All recipes where it makes sense have been updated (like the CMY pedestal upgrade)

- New algorithm to place underground structures - should make Preservation Ruins show up exposed in caves a lot more often.

Lurking Lizards
Slow, but aggressive and tanky fellows that hunt in packs. They can be found near their lairs, which they guard fiercely.
Erasers
Tiny, hard-to-hit, pack-hunting spiders that inflict a variety of nasty effects when hit. Don't let them overwhelm you!
Note
The Spawner Item shipped with Spectrum will be removed with the full release. Instead of that, harvesting a Spawner with Resonance will now drop a 100% vanilla spawner. The vanilla Spawner item now lists all the tooltips that the Spectrum one did before.
Place yours down and break them again to convert them to the vanilla items.
