The way the pedestal works has once again changed, thanks to various feedback. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback. This final solution is easier and to use, more satisfying and more performance light on servers. I call this a win-win-win.
-
The Pigment Pedestal now starts crafting when it detects a positive redstone edge. That means:
- Pressing a button will craft a single recipe
- Adding a constant signal, like via a lever will craft until the inventory is completely empty
- Pedestal again uses it's previous redstone textures
-
The Black Hole Chest has gotten some love:
- It features 5 item filter slots. As long as at least one of those is set it will only accept items specified in those filters
- It now has an additional slot for Knowledge Gems. If a Knowledge Gem is inserted it will suck up Experience Orbs, too. (If the orb is full any additional Experience is void. That way it prevents Entity-Spam in large farms)
-
The compacting chest can now be toggled between 3x3, 2x2 or 1x1 crafting
-
Failing does not grow endlessly anymore, but only has a reach of 15 blocks... as long as you do not feed it, that is
-
The currently creative-only Ruin has been nerfed in a way to not spread through air anymore and behave just like the old Failing
-
Added a "clear Crafting Tablet" recipe
-
The duration the Pedestal takes to craft vanilla recipes was increased from 20 to 40 ticks and is now configurable
-
Increased generation frequency of Shimmerstone
-
A lot of existing items can now be enchanted via the Enchanter, making use free / cheaper or adding new effects
-
Tweaked Shimmerstone spawns
-
Greatly improved REI compat
-
The Enchanter has gotten fancy new particles
-
Minor recipe and progression tweaks
-
Colored trees do not grow on Mushroom Islands and other not fitting biomes anymore
Fixes:
- Item Bowl sometimes not saving their contents after Enchanting
- The Creative Menus now have scroll bars
Another fix. Can never have to many fixes.
This time in regard to Kibes Fake player that is neither a ServerPlayer, nor a ClientPlayer.
Serverside update only.
Gameplay Changes:
- Added new fancy decoration blocks
- Enchantments are only usable anymore if they are unlocked via progression
- Pedestal does not require redstone to craft anymore, allowing for easier automation with hoppers
- The Exuberance Enchantment now works on pickaxes (ty CamperSamu!)
- Knowledge Gems can be enchanted, enhancing their capabilities
- Tweaked geode generation a bit
- New in-world Interactions for an unlockable item
- The water resource is now easier to find and can be Nature's staffed
Improvements:
- Huge performance and network improvements for the pedestal
- Improved earlygame progression to make progressing easier
- The Manual now lists amounts for required blocks for all multiblock structures
- Moved a lot of data into tags, allowing for easier mod integration
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a duping glitch with the Crafting Tablet
- Better handling of recipe remainders for stackable items
- Fixed the fusion shrine deleting buckets
- Fixed Particle Spawner GUI in Multiplayer
- Fixed 1 Pixel overlap for REI recipe handler in Pedestal
- Made the way to remove Decay Blocks a bit cheaper and earlier to get
- a fix for a cyclic dependency that blocked optional progression
- made the thing to remove decay a bit cheaper and earlier to get
- a new way to automate Anvil Crushing Recipes, like for Gemstone Powder
~A new chapter of your magical journey awaits you~
Create a bunch of new extraordinary contraptions. Create fantastic tools, revolutionize the way you enchant and discover new natural resources. The latter have always existed around you, with your little knowledge before, you just couldn't perceive them. (no new generated chunks needed!) There is a lot of new content to explore and dozens of improvements to existing stuff.
While Midgame is not fully complete still (there are LOTS of ideas on the backburner), this release will give you all the essential toys to play around with. The retexture by @Azzy is on a good way, too. It is a big undertaking, but Azzy is doing a stunning job to make Spectrum feel even more alive and polished.
For Players: Since there were a lot of new fancy building blocks, the Pedestal structure has changed slightly. Exchange them and you are good to go. For Modpack Makers: https://github.com/DaFuqs/Spectrum/wiki/Integrating-Into-Modpacks
Have fun and expect some bugs!
There have been rare sightings of Endermen bringing strange blocks from their home to the overworld. But why?
- Fixed a crash when other mods pass null instead of ItemStack.EMPTY as a mining tool when breaking blocks (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
- Player placed colored leaves are now cloaked for players having missing progression
Improvements:
- Reduced the display time for revelation toasts
- Made Lava Sponges even nastier in the Nether
- Increased Colored Leaves drops a tiny bit
- Revamped manual, including the intro
- You are now able to throw items onto the fusion shrine and item bowl, making them better automatable
- Expanded startup logging
- Added >100 of new anvil crushing recipes.
- Mostly vanilla blocks getting cracked / broken down
- You are now also able to crush gemstone buds
- Anvil Crushing now is a good way to get sand in the Nether and End
Fixes:
- Fixed the drops of the Invisible Phantom Frame
- Fixed Air items name getting scrambled clientside
- The Resonance Enchantment can not be disabled anymore via config, since it is required for progression
- Fixed spawning of Experience Orbs with an experience of 0 when crushing very small amounts of cheap items
And lots of work for currently still locked survival content, like:
- Lots Progression changes for unreleased stuff
- Added new advancements
- Modified some recipes
- Improved the Enchanters REI handlers
Lots of fixes and improvements
