🧟 Animageddon – A More Hostile Minecraft

Animageddon enhances Minecraft’s survival experience by making the world more dangerous and immersive. Mobs now hunt animals, breeding is more balanced, and survival requires greater strategy. Experience a world where nature fights back and survival is never guaranteed.


⚔️ Features at a Glance

🐾 Animal Behavior & Hunting

  • Zombies now hunt Sheep 🐑 and Cows 🐄 at night.
  • Spiders now hunt Chickens 🐔 and Rabbits 🐇 at night.

🛠️ New Items & Crafting Changes

  • Nitre 💥 – Dropped by Creepers instead of Gunpowder (Gunpowder is now craftable).
  • Cured Meat 🍖 – A new food item.

🐣 Animal Breeding Adjustments

Breeding has been rebalanced to require more effort:

  • 🐷 Pigs – Unchanged -> If the Vegehenna mod is present, then it's changed to 🍫Chocolate from it.
  • 🐄 Cows – Now require Cake 🎂.
  • 🐑 Sheep – Now require Pumpkin Pie 🥧.
  • Animals now run faster 🏃 towards their breeding items.

🐔 Chicken Breeding Overhaul

  • Breeding removed ❌ – Instead, feeding Chicken Feed will make them produce eggs on the next morning.

🔥 Survival & Combat Changes

  • Cobwebs now break in stages 🕸️, rather than instantly. They can be harvested fully with Shears and un-crafted to get 2 strings instead of 1.
  • Creepers no longer explode 💣 instantly after falling near the player and taking damage.
  • Zombified Piglins 🧟‍♂️ now have only a 30% chance of spawning with golden tools.
  • Zombies now prioritize attacking players 👥.
  • Zombie AI improvements:
    • Wait 120–200 ticks before attacking.
    • Attack Sheep and Cows 20% faster.
    • Use a new attack handling system for better behavior.

🔮 Planned Features

🦴 Hostile Mobs & Animal Survival

  • Hostile mobs will consume food 🥩 dropped by animals they kill.
  • Animals will require food 🍽️ to survive—if not fed, they will starve and die.

🕷️ Spider Changes

  • Spiders shooting cobwebs! - Spiders will now shoot cobwebs at entities it targets.
  • New mob - Jungle Spider It will only spawn in the jungle. Works the same as Cave Spider, but smaller and venomous.

🏚️ Smarter Hostile Mobs

  • Zombie Villagers 🚪 will be able to open doors.
  • Squids 🦑 will get a tentacle grab attack and become more aggressive at night, staying in deep water during the day.
  • Cows, Horses, Donkeys & Mules will have a "defensive kick" attack 🦵 when scared, knocking back attackers.

🎣 Fishing Overhaul

  • No more AFK fishing 🎣❌ – Requires a substantial water source.
  • Fishing now requires bait 🪱.

🍖 Cooking & Food Adjustments

  • Animals set on fire will drop Burned Meat 🔥 instead of cooked meat.
