Check out [**Mini Blocks**](https://modrinth.com/datapack/mini-blocks-datapack)!)_ Palette is a very **simple but extensive** data pack built on one core concept: **all blocks and sub-blocks within each block set should be able to be converted back and forth between the other variants in the set**. In many cases, this means allowing many block recipes to be reversed, including decorative blocks, slabs, and stairs. The goal of Palette is to improve the experience of building and working with blocks that have many variants and sub-blocks, while also easing the burden of such blocks on players' inventories and storage.

## Features: The principles/general rules of this pack are: 1. All full blocks in a block set can be cut into other variants and sub-blocks* (ex. Stone Bricks can be cut into Stone). 2. All slabs, stairs, and walls can be cut into other slabs, stairs, and walls within their block sets* (ex. Stone Slabs can be cut into Stone Brick Slabs) 3. Slabs, Stairs, Walls, and Buttons can be crafted back into blocks** 4. Stairs crafting recipes now yield 8 per 6 blocks, and Walls cutting recipes now yield 2 per block (this is to accompany the above feature) ### Other additions and tweaks include: - Prismarine Bricks and Dark Prismarine are now crafted with Prismarine blocks with recipes similar to others in vanilla. Prismarine Bricks are crafted with a 2x2 of Prismarine (yields 4), and Dark Prismarine is crafted with 8 Prismarine and Black Dye (yields 8). - The recipes for Wood/Hyphae (Bark) blocks now yields 4 instead of 3. Logs/Stems can also be cut into Wood/Hyphae, which can be cut back into Logs/Stems (1 for 1). - Cobblestone and Stone Brick slabs, stairs, and wall can be made into their Mossy counterparts by crafting with Vines. - Stone and Blackstone blocks can be cut into 9 of their respective buttons or 6 of their respective pressure plates (crafting recipes also reflect these outputs).

\* Stone blocks/slabs/stairs/walls can be cut into Cobblestone versions, but Cobblestone cannot be cut back into Stone. Likewise, Deepslate can be cut into Cobbled Deepslate and the other Deepslate variants, but they cannot be cut into Deepslate. However, Smooth variants and Cracked variants of blocks can be cut from others in their block sets. Mossy blocks can also be cut into non-Mossy variants, which cannot be cut back into Mossy variants.
